The stores!

Locally, Academy is beginning to stock some discs, but not always the ones you want. They are limited in selection and most of the discs are not the ones I would hand to a beginner. I have not seen discs in any other local stores, but would like to!

You can find many stores on the interweb with a search for "disc golf discs" but I have had experience with a few of them.

In Texas, I have ordered extensively from www.discnation.com Their shipping is free for orders over $50 and reasonable for orders under that. Order today and the discs are in hand generally in 2 to three days, sometimes less. If you are a beginner, there is a search function for "beginner friendly discs." Their prices are quite good, and their disc descriptions are accurate. They also have a physical location in south Austin that actually has a 500' field in back so you can fly before you buy.

In Omaha, I have ordered from www.discstore.com Their shipping is reasonable fand like discnation, if you order today and the discs are in hand generally in 2 to three days, sometimes less. Their prices are quite good, and their disc descriptions are accurate.

In Florida, I have ordered extensively from www.discgolfcenter.com Their shipping is free for orders over $12, but the shipping is slow. The fastest I have received a disc is 7 days, and have had some orders for closer to 3 weeks. Their prices are quite good, and their disc descriptions are very accurate, with some good information given you don't find everywhere. The reason I get discs from this location is that if you are getting a specialty disc, one with tie-dye or fancy whatever, you see a picture of the actual disc you are purchasing. Most other stores just give you whatever disc matches your weight requirements, which is important, but if you, like me, are particular about the way your discs look, you can hand pick them here. I get all tie-dye and Vibram discs here because of that.

Another store I have gotten good info and good customer service from is www.gottagogottathrow.com which has excellent info about discs. Get "Joe's Universal Flight Chart" here.
